Home Phone Control™ is Extremely Easy to Use

Easy Installation

Unlike so many technology products, Home Phone Control has been carefully designed for easy installation and usage. In a few minutes you’ll have complete control of all the phones in your house from one location.

Our product is shipped with a phone splitter that plugs into the phone jack of your choosing. One side of the splitter is for your standard phone cable and the other is for the Home Phone Control device. You simply connect both devices and then determine which location would provide the easiest access to Home Phone Control.

There’s no need to contact the phone company or arrange for a phone technician to help you. Instructions will be included with the device when we ship it; however, it’s so easy to set up that you probably won’t need them.

WHEN TURNING OFF PHONES, PLEASE NOTE: If you have digital voicemail service with your phone carrier, all calls will be sent immediately to voicemail. If you use an external phone messaging device, you will not be able to collect messages when using Home Phone Control.

Easily Control All Home Telephones

After installation, using Home Phone Control couldn’t be simpler: Turn it to “Off” when you don’t want to be bothered with any ringing telephones. Turn it back to the “On” position when you decide that phone calls are acceptable. Phones are “On” when the device is changed to the “On” position. Phones are “Off” when the device is in the “Off” position.

Of course, Home Phone Control doesn’t prevent calls to your mobile telephone. It only works on the primary lines that come into your house and anything attached to your primary line (phone, fax, dial-up, etc.).

Important Product Information: Emergency Services

When Home Phone Control is activated by pressing the “Off” button, the device will block access to all outgoing calls, including calls to emergency services. You must deactivate the device by pressing the “On” button in order to dial 911 or any other phone number to reach emergency services. Please note that there may be a short delay before dial tone is restored. You should inform any household residents or guests that the device must be deactivated (turned to “On”) in order to be able to make calls during an emergency.

Important Product Information: Home Security

Home Phone Control is compatible with properly installed home security systems. To ensure your home security system is installed properly, you are responsible for contacting the alarm monitoring company to test the compatibility of any alarm monitoring or security system with the device when it is activated (turned to “Off”).

Question:
Will Home Phone Control block all incoming and outgoing calls on ALL telephones in my home?

Answer:
Yes, as long as all of the telephones in your home are connected to the same line in your house. Telephones connected to different lines would require additional Home Phone Control devices.

Question:
Will Home Phone Control affect my access to emergency services?

Answer:
Yes. When the Home Phone Control device is activated (turned to “Off”), all outgoing calls from the home are blocked, including calls to emergency services (i.e., 911). To call emergency services, Home Phone Control must be deactivated either by turning the device “On” or by removing the device.

Question:
Will Home Phone Control work if I have DSL?

Answer:
Yes. However, you must plug the Home Phone Control device into the phone side of the DSL filter. Your Internet access via the DSL connection should not be affected.

Question:
Will Home Phone Control affect my ability to send or receive a fax?

Answer:
Assuming your fax machine and phone are on the same line, then the following is true. When the Home Phone Control device is activated (turned to “Off”), all incoming and outgoing faxes will be blocked.
